About the Designer
Rosario Gil was born in the city of Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, on August 3, 1979. She is part of a family of 9 children. She holds the Argentinian nationality and has lived in Costa Rica since 2002, in Herradura, Puntarenas with her husband Rodrigo Postolov, and their two children, Felipe and Juana.
Her passion for design started when she was a little girl: she always sewed dresses for her dolls and she also spent time drawing. Soon after she graduated from high school, she moved to Buenos Aires to study Fashion Design.
Work & Inspiration
After a few years, she returned to Costa Rica and she brought some knitted garments using the crochet technique. Later, Rosario decided to work as a baker; she always said that she dressed cakes up on Haute Couture, but in 2016, she went back to what she truly liked: design. She began with stone and bead jewelry while following the fashion trends of 100% handmade crochet knitting embellished with fabric.

Rosario’s philosophy is to always be creative and to never lose the essence that has always characterized her. In 2019, Rosario took part in the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week San Jose, where she showcased her collection “Natura.” It was inspired in the textures and colors of nature; she mixed crochet knittings with colorful, light fabrics.
She had the opportunity of showing a part of her collection “Tierra al Cielo” during the Miss Costa Rica 2019 beauty pageant; it was inspired on stages of her childhood. Later, at arunway show, she introduced the elegance of knitted dresses embellished with fabrics.
